about me

I am a mother of two girls, 23 and 25 (and two rascally cats). I have learnt a great deal supporting my daughters through their academic journeys and have learnt a lot about difficulties and challenges facing children as they progress from Early Years to reaching their chosen careers.

My entire career has been based around working with children and my number one aim has always been to put the child first, no matter what age. I want to see a world where children will create a better, fairer world with enthusiasm, energy and creativity. I am a compassionate, energetic, hard-working individual with a determination to help others. I have an innate desire to make sure that every person is included.

my qualifications

I qualified as a Nursery Nurse and spent many years running Nursery Schools giving me a lot of experience teaching EYFS including phonics, early reading, writing and maths. In 2012 I retrained and qualified as a Primary School Teacher with a First-Class Honors Degree from Kingston (London) University. I now have over 12 years of experience teaching in primary schools and teaching the National Curriculum. My role as a class teacher has meant that I have had to plan and teach all foundation and core subjects; recording and reporting pupil progress; report writing; holding pupil progress meetings with parents; providing additional resources and adapting planning to support SEND children. High quality teaching is an essential part of my role.
